We are becoming a society addicted to knowledge...

What would happen if you just started applying what you already know?

What if you just started doing the thing that feels like the next logical step?

Sometimes in life, we trip ourselves up with trying to figure out that ONE BIG decision that indisputably puts us exactly where we think we want to be.....

which can (and oftentimes does) debilitate and paralyze us from doing ANYTHING at all

Which university should I attend? - it would make sense to go to the one with the scholarship, right?

Do I take the job? - if it pays the bills, probably a good idea at least until something more suitable comes along

Is this the person I'm meant to be with for the rest of my life? THAT thought right there is enough to send anyone running for the hills!!

It's easy to fall for someone in the dating stage, but what happens when the butterflies fly away??

How about taking one day at a time and start opening up the lines of communication. Get deep, raw and real. Talk about personal beliefs, morals, goals, integrity. Do their values align with yours?

Do every day life activities together, can you enjoy each others' company while doing the mundane and tedious tasks like grocery shopping, making dinner, cleaning the house, washing the car?

By now we all know that the gateway to having more joy in our lives, is to express appreciation/gratitude for the things we already have. How many of you have read the book called 'The Magic' - 30 day gratitude challenge. I personally have read this book and done the challenge multiple times. It was the perfect puzzle piece for me at that time in my journey.

Yet, when I find myself seeking happiness in places where I know I've never found it before..... my book sits on the shelf acquiring dust.

Which brings my to my next point, how many personal development books do you have sitting at home, that you've maybe read the first chapter or two.....or maybe you haven't even cracked it open yet. And you still continue to buy allllllll the books that everyone else is saying is 'the best' they've ever read!?

If you know what to do and you do what you know, you will know what to do

I encourage you to consider this... is it a form of procrastination when we continually seek out, take on and sign up to learn the newest, trendiest (is that a word?) and greatest thing. When reality has shown us that we already know, but we just don't have the courage/desire/determination etc. to do it.

I can almost promise you that you know how to get fit. Do you really NEED a gym to work out, or can you put together your own work-out routine at home? You quite likely already know that what you eat; veggies vs junk food, water vs soda, etc. and how you move your body will determine the outcome of your general physical health. Agree?

What I'm getting at here is this, we don't need to keep reaching for something that is just out of our reach and something we have to continually strive to 'get to'

(Don't confuse this with working towards goals)

Do recognize this as your inner wisdom or compass guiding you to your true north.

There are times when we need to keep it simple and place one foot in front of the other, and just move forward. Even through the times when its three steps forward, and two steps back... keep moving in the direction you want go, and the next step will be revealed.

This was a hard concept for me to wrap my head around, and it still trips me up at times....but I can honestly say that when I have embraced this process, it tends to work itself out in ways I never saw coming!

These are not new earth-shattering notions. They can be simple, but may not always be easy to implement, until we become aware. These are concepts that I share and explore together with my clients in BodyMindSoul coaching sessions. In fact, these concepts seem to pop up in numerous intertwining realms for me, and the syncronicities and serendipities that present themselves leave me in absolute awe of God's creation.
